Duties:

Preparing structural design calculations in steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry as appropriate for each project.

Structural designs include; steel frames, masonry structures, R.C. concrete elements, foundations in various soil types, R.C. concrete slabs & ground beams.

Preparing detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD or Revit for GA plans & sections, structural details, reinforcement detail drawings.

Coordinate with all members of the project team with the combined aim of delivering projects on time and within budget.

Preparing designs for alterations to existing buildings.

Carrying out defect investigations to existing buildings and preparing subsequent formal written reports and remedial repair schemes as appropriate.

Working on projects ranging from domestic works up to medium scale commercial projects.

Responsible for liaising directly with the client from initial appointment through to project completion.

Preparing fee proposals for new enquiries and ensuring the correct appointment procedures are implemented to clearly outline the agreed brief.

Looking for an experienced Structural Engineer to work alongside the management team. The role would equally suit either a Chartered engineer or somebody working towards it that is looking for more diverse experience in their work. The role will involve all aspects of structural engineering, from initial response to new enquiries, as well as meeting clients on site, determining their project requirements through to carrying out the design and detailing.
